How It Works
Most people have never had the experience of working with a designer or having a garment custom made for them, and it's definitely a lot more fun than buying off the rack. Below you will find a basic over view of the steps in involved, where to start and what to expect.
Get the Conversation Started
Maybe you have a clear idea of what you want for your gown, or maybe you've just tried on a thousand gowns and although you like parts and pieces of a few, nothing seems to be quite right. Either way, it's time to start talking with a designer! Just click the button below to get started. If you are in the Chicago area, we schedule appointments in Elk Grove Village, IL at our main location and Evanston, IL. If you're not local, then we'll start with emails and phone calls. Consultations are always free of charge.
discover what your designer can do
After your consultation, your designer will put together sketches and price quotes. For the first time you'll begin to see the dress you imaged come to life. Your designer may provide you with different options for you to consider as well. If you had a local appointment, then you may have already looked at fabrics, lace, beading and detailing options. If you are not local, then it's time for swatches to be sent to you so you can start choosing the color and details of your gown.
Off the paper and into Reality!
Once you and your designer have reached the perfect design, it's time to make it a reality! You'll pay for your gown, we'll take detailed measurements, and finalize any remaining details. If you are long distance, a measurement form will be sent for you to fill out. Then, we'll make the gown come to life! Once it's done, you will come in to start fittings, or if you are not local, we will send you images of the dress and then ship it to you. Long distance clients should expect that they may need some fit alterations after receiving their gown.
It's really that simple! Just share your dress dreams with us, and let us do all of the hard work to bring it to life!
